This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operations Team at UtiliQuest, LLC as an Loss Prevention Manager. The Loss Prevention Manager is held to high standards and expectations as a loss prevention leader in our daily operations. This individual will work collaboratively with various departments across the organization to protect company assets through the execution of theft reduction initiatives, inventory recovery and best practices in asset management. It is key that you are a self-motivated professional with strong work ethic, organizational and interpersonal skills, and are ready to add value to our team on day one.

The Loss Prevention Manager reports directly to the Senior Director of Risk Management and Safety. The ideal candidate is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud, supporting safety, and risk management compliance. The Loss Prevention Manager will carry out various responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, while creating and managing asset protection guidelines.

What you’ll do…

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops asset protection and loss prevention guidelines for implementation throughout the organization. 
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to implement policies and administrative procedures regarding asset protection and loss prevention.
  • Serve as a Corporate and Regional liaison to identify and develop solutions for handling internal and external theft and/or fraud. 
  • Conduct internal and external investigations and report findings to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Monitors and analyzes video via Event recording software. 
  • Testifies in criminal and civil court actions.
  • Conduct physical asset audits and make recommendations to prevent loss.
  • Partners with law enforcement to investigate losses and prepare case reports.
  • Educates and trains all Operations partners in programs and methods for protecting inventory, equipment and other Company assets. 
  • Promotes and maintains a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures, when carrying out responsibilities.
Qualifications

Who are we looking for…

Required skills for success:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency is required. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Loss Prevention, Criminal Justice or related field preferred. 
  • 5-7 years of Loss Prevention/Asset Protection and/or related experience required.
  • Prior experience conducting critical interviews.
  • Track record of success with the investigative process from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and industry best practices related to criminal charges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals at all levels and areas within the organization
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Experience managing assets with a remote/mobile workforce and partnering with fleet operations preferred. 
  • Travel to locations throughout the Company and maintain the ability to work a varied schedule. 
  • Overnight travel required, 25-50%
